March was an exciting month for Y.E.T.I. programs, filled with snowy adventures, outdoor challenges, and a glimpse of the spring activities ahead. Here’s a quick look at what we got up to:
Snowy Fun
March kicked off with snowshoeing adventures at Snoqualmie Pass. Glacier Middle School and Cascade View Elementary got out in the snow, while Foster High and Sylvester Middle also enjoyed snowshoe trips later in the month. Showalter Middle School joined in on the snow fun, making it a month full of winter memories.

Biking Adventures
Biking took center stage this month, with Showalter Middle School riding at Duthie Hill, Evergreen High School mountain biking at North SeaTac Park, and Sylvester Middle School biking at North SeaTac Park and on campus. Pacific Middle School also had a biking trip, keeping the wheels turning all month.

Climbing Days
Climbing was another exciting activity for Y.E.T.I. Clubs this month. Maritime High School had a climbing session at the Matt Griffin YMCA and Edgeworks in Tacoma, where students gained confidence on the climbing wall.

Hikes and Trails
Y.E.T.I. Clubs ventured to some local parks this month. Foster High School explored Saltwater State Park, while Glacier Middle School took in the views at Marine View. Cascade View Elementary hiked at Lincoln Park, and Showalter Middle School and Maritime High School hit the trails at Angle Lake and North SeaTac Park. Pacific Middle School also joined in with a hike at North SeaTac Park, making for a month full of outdoor exploration.

Fishing Adventures
Fishing made a relaxing appearance this month, with Showalter Middle School, Maritime High School, and Pacific Middle School getting out on the water at Angle Lake. Students had the chance to practice patience while enjoying the outdoors, adding a calm change of pace to their adventures.

Spring Break Prep
March was all about gearing up for spring break! Foster High School worked on setting up tents and creating a camp kitchen and home, making sure they were ready for their outdoor adventures during spring break.

The Big Picture
From snowshoeing and biking to fishing and hiking, March was full of activities that allowed Y.E.T.I. Clubs to build skills and create lasting memories. We’re excited for what’s ahead as the spring season continues!
