Celebrating First Adventures with Y.E.T.I.
Welcome to our new blog series, “First Adventures”! Each season, we’ll share exciting milestones from our outdoor trips—like first snow outings, first kayaking adventures, and everything in between—to keep you connected with the Y.E.T.I. community and share in the excitement of our students’ journeys.
Kicking Off the Series: First Club Meetings and Outdoor Adventures
Fall is here, and our Y.E.T.I. clubs are off to a great start! Most of our clubs have already held their first meetings of the season, and some have even ventured out on their very first trips. Check out some highlights:
Cascade View Elementary: The Y.E.T.I. club kicked off their season at Seahurst Park, hiking through the woods and spending time on the beach. They had a ton of fun hanging out together after school—setting the tone for an exciting year ahead!
Pacific Middle School: Students launched their season with a weekend adventure to Twin Falls Trail, where they spent most of the hike climbing every rock they could find and playing by the water. The stoke was high, and they’re already looking forward to more weekend trips to complement the fun they’re having in their after-school club!
Glacier Middle School: Their first on-campus meeting turned into an impromptu bouldering session on a big rock! Students teamed up to lift and spot each other, and it’s clear they’re already building some serious team spirit.
These “firsts” are just the beginning of many more outdoor adventures to come! We couldn’t make this happen without the support of our Y.E.T.I. community. Whether you’re a volunteer, donor, staff member, or just someone who believes in our mission, your contributions play a vital role in connecting young people to nature. Together, we’re making unforgettable memories out there!
Stay tuned for more updates in our upcoming “First Adventures” series!
