Geocaching Scavenger Hunt
Join us for a Geocaching trip on Saturday, Nov. 15! Geocaches are little containers hidden all around the world that anyone can find from a set of coordinates. They can be hidden by anyone, and found using the Geocaching app. There are 5,443 geocaches hidden in the Seattle region alone!
Students will join Y.E.T.I. instructors on Saturday to find as many Geocaches as we can. We will explore parks around Burien and Des Moines in hopes of finding these treasures.
Details:
We’ll start at Y.E.T.I. Headquarters to gather our food and gear for the day. PLEASE arrive between 8:45am – 9:00am as we will be leaving by 9:30.
Students will get the chance to look at the map and decide which Geocaches we will try and find. It will be a fun way to explore our local parks and neighborhoods!
No previous Geocaching experience is required and students do not need to have a phone. Y.E.T.I. instructors will have phones with the app installed.
