Bike the Snoqualmie Tunnel
Join us for a bike ride of the historic Snoqualmie Tunnel! The Palouse to Cascades trail is rails to trails project that provides a unique riding experience at the Snoqualmie tunnel. Riders will find themselves riding in complete darkness in the 2 mile long tunnel so we will wear headlamps and other lighting for the trip. This trip is lead by Ms. Renee!
Details:
We’ll start by outfitting ourselves at Y.E.T.I. headquarters for a biking day by sizing bikes, fitting helmets, grabbing layers and making a lunch for the day.
We’ll load into the Y.E.T.I. van and then drive up to the Hayak parking area at Snoqualmie pass, leaving a vehicle at our destination along the way.
Students will ride a slight down hill trail all the way to Rattlesnake lake along the way entering the 2 mile long Snoqualmie Tunnel! It is pitch black in the middle of the tunnel so we’ll turn on our headlamps and other lights to see the way. It’s a truly exhilarating ride!
We’ll have lunch at Rattlesnake lake while Y.E.T.I. staff shuttle the vehicles to pick students up and return to Y.E.T.I. Headquarters.
