10/04 Kayaking Angle Lake

Join us for a Kayaking trip to Angle Lake on Saturday, October 4th! This trip teaches young people about water safety, essential Kayaking gear, and the basics of how to paddle and control your boat in a 2 person Kayak. If this trip does not appear for sign up it means it is full. You can email info@goyeti.org to join the waitlist

Details:

We’ll start our trip at the Y.E.T.I. headquarters where we will make and pack a sandwich for lunch. Students will have the opportunity to borrow any clothing and gear that they will need for the day such as water bottles or jackets. We’ll head to Angle lake where students will learn how to wear their PFD’s and participate in an on land paddling lesson. Once everyone has practiced the basics on land, we’ll launch onto the lake in our Kayaks to try out our new found skills! We’ll play some paddling games to get practice moving our boats around, and if time allows, we’ll take across Angle Lake. At the end of the day, we’ll paddle into shore and everyone will help de-issue our paddle gear and load our boats back up.
