Sarah was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington also known as the "city of subdued excitement". Growing up, she managed to find excitement through backpacking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, and getting lost in the Pacific Northwest. As a kid, Sarah participated in and later volunteered with Wild Whatcom’s Explorers Club which instilled in her a deep love of being outside and helping get others outside. Since then, Sarah has worked as a Wilderness Ranger with the Forest Service and with her college’s outdoor program to continue to connect people with nature. Recently, Sarah moved to Seattle to work as a Water Resources Engineer. Whenever she is not working, she can be found in the mountains searching for Yeti’s.
