An East Coast transplant hailing from outside of Portland, ME, Pete has always had a passion for outdoors. Whether it was kayaking, hiking, and camping in the summers or cross country skiing and snow shoeing in the winters the one constant was that he preferred the outdoors to the indoors. After finishing his engineering degree he first moved to Seattle in 2014 where he took his love for the outdoors to the next step, honing his mountaineering, rock climbing, and backcountry skiing skills with the Washington Alpine Club (WAC). He's lead trips through America's national parks and is involved in teaching for the WAC as well as guiding for Y.E.T.I. He's inspired by the surreal feeling of awe when dwarfed by the world's most spectacular wild places as well as the sense of accomplishment when a team comes together through hard work, joy, and collaboration (and the occasional healthy dose of type II fun) to safely accomplish a climbing objective.
