Born and raised in the Appalachian Mountains on the Virginia / West Virginia Border I grew up with an appreciation for the outdoors and just being in the mountains. While I was used to being outdoors all the time I didn’t get into outdoor sports until college. I started school at Georgia Tech with a 10day backpacking expedition in Banff Canada and have been backpacking and hiking all over the world since, hitting places from the jungles of Malaysia to the volcanoes of New Zealand. During school, I helped lead kids backpacking and mountain biking through our outdoor programs. I first came out to Seattle summer 2018 and immediately fell in love with the cascades and Puget sound. I went hiking every weekend and decided to move here in August 2019. Now you can find me continuing to explore Washington and practicing mountaineering skills on the local volcanoes!
